For almost fifteen years, I worked as a geodetic engineer. Then came web development, content and SEO, in roughly that order. The sequence became clear in retrospect.

How I work

I like work that starts messy and ends with something testable: a clearer explanation, a useful change or a decision the evidence can support. Evidence gets the final say.

Research

Some questions have a way of taking over: an odd search result, a guideline resting on very little evidence, a process that keeps growing extra steps. I follow the trail; occasionally it leads somewhere worth sharing.

Before search

Engineering gave me a useful allergy to unsupported conclusions. Measure carefully, keep good notes and keep every conclusion inside the limits of the data: that part of the job followed me into SEO.
